OUR STORY

The Kolache Shop's roots started in El Campo Texas, four generations ago. Debbie Frakey grew up around her grandmother's bakery learning to make authentic pig-in-the blankets and kolaches. In 1985 Debbie and her parents Royce and Betty Roddy opened The Kolache Shop in Clute Texas. In 2013 Debbie and her husband Stephen expanded the business and opened a second store in Brazoria, Texas.

In 2007, The Kolache Shop was recognized as the kolache state champion and has since won multiple grand champion state titles for both pigs-n-the blankets and kolaches.

Today with the assistance of their daughters Tiffany and Courtney, The Kolache Shop continues to be a family business, creating awarding winning pig-in-the blankets, kolaches, and other favorites.

We are incredibly thankful for your support and we look forward to the next 30 years!

- Debbie, Stephen, Tiffany & Courtney

Since our first days in business we have believed that all our leftover products should be donated. Some days we over-bake and that's okay because we know that our products will never be wasted. Our Clute location happily donates all daily leftover products to the Brazoria County Food pantry while our Brazoria location donates  daily leftovers to St. Josephs Catholic Church of Brazoria. Both of these locations distribute our items to individuals and families in need.
